T: How many countries have you been to?
KE: I don´t know. I stopped counting after 30.
T: I´ve only been to 13.
KE: Well, that´s not bad. It´s probably all you´re allowed to go to.

Sadly, she´s not that far wrong. That said, the scarcity of options and the prevalence of visa requirements did influence my decision to visit Nepal, and I am very happy I went.

And travel plans for the future? Looks like South America is probably the best option!

How many countries have you visited? Comments in the box below, please.

  2. There is a ‘countries travelled to’ app on Facebook that you can add to your profile. A bit frustrating as it is so small, but anyway it worked out that I have travelled 13% of the world – not so much really …. (Looked like it was counting USA states as countries!!!!)

  3. @M-Squeeze Ja, 13 isn´t bad for a Saffa, but any European would sniff at that!

  4. @Mim There are quite a few different apps for counting countries. How many have you actually been to?

    • I presume you mean countries, not sites?

      Africa: 8
      Asia: 1
      Australia & Pacific: 1
      Central America & Caribbean: 0
      Europe: 8
      Middle East: 1
      North America: 2
      South America: 5
& Antartica which they did not have on the map site!
