Pub quiz at Fibber McGee´s

with 4 comments

Last night went to a pub quiz at Fibber McGee´s. Reminded me of when I used to live in the House of Earthly Delights. They might be Giants and Team Doris regularly used to battle it out for glory at Quiz Nite at the River Club

But back to last night: our team, called “At least we still have jobs”, only came third. I was never going to be any help in the plasticine “creative” round, but at least I answered the scrabble question correctly. All those online games must be paying off! Can any of you tell me how many letters in scrabble have a value of two points? No googling allowed!

  2. Well, “D” is one of the two-point letters. Let´s just say you´re halfway there…

  3. G as well! Just came across this blog googling for dubai pub quizzes (Fibbers is off tomorrow due to St Pats, I think we won the 3 Mar quiz actually, as ‘Anti Cubicle’)…but noted the interest in Scrabble as well, we have a regular Scrabble club that meets once a month if you fancy joining us! Details on http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=16016977449&ref=ts
Hope you can join us, and feel free to let anyone else who might be interested know as well! 🙂

  4. Hi Nikhil – wow, this is so exciting – the first time I will meet someone in real life because they came across my blog 😉

Have joined the Facebook group. When and where do you meet each month? Also, I´m not particularly good, but keen to improve, if you´re patient with relative beginners!

    Cheers
